A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a cosmetic procedure that can help  improve the appearance of the forehead and eyebrows. The procedure involves lifting the skin of the forehead and/or eyebrows and may involve tightening the underlying muscles. The procedure smooths away etched-in wrinkles and lines on the forehead, as subtly lifts drooping eyebrows. Brow lifts can be combined with other procedures such as eyelid surgery or performed as a single aesthetic procedure.

Look younger and refreshed with a custom brow lift.

Factors such as gravity, facial expressions, sun exposure, and aging can all take a toll on facial appearance. Wrinkles begin to deepen as the brow begins to droop, creating an older, tired look. Fortunately, modern technology makes it possible to perform an endoscopic brow lift with smaller incisions and a faster recovery time. It is inevitable that as the skin loses natural collagen and elastin, the skin on the forehead can stretch, sag, and crease. Thankfully, a custom brow lift can help you maintain a youthful, refreshed appearance much longer than nature intended!

What is the benefit of a brow lift?

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is used to improve the appearance of the forehead and brow area. The goal of a brow lift is to create a more youthful and refreshed look by lifting the skin and soft tissue of the forehead. This can minimize the look of wrinkles and creases, and restore the eyebrows to their youthful position or address the look of a heavy, overhanging brow.

Are there different types of brow lifts?

Several different techniques can be used for a brow lift, and your surgeon will select the best option for you based on your individual conditions. In many cases, the procedure can be performed endoscopically, which leads to shorter scars and a faster recovery. During the procedure, the forehead tissues will be lifted and repositioned, and any excess removed. The incisions are then closed with sutures or tape.

Types of brow lift surgeries

There are three main types of brow lifts: the coronal, the mid-forehead, and the endoscopic.

Endoscopic brow lift

The endoscopic brow lift is the least invasive type of brow lift. It involves making tiny incisions in the hairline and inserting an endoscope (a small camera) into the forehead. The surgeon then uses the camera to guide the placement of the incisions and to lift the skin.

Mid-forehead brow lift

The mid-forehead brow lift is less extensive than the coronal brow lift. It involves making an incision in the crease of the forehead, repositioning the skin, and trimming away excess.

Coronal brow lift

The coronal brow lift is the most extensive type of brow lift. It involves making an incision in the hairline repositioning the skin and trimming away any excess.
